Too outrageous not to comment on this....
This happened right before FC 2008, so I didn't get a chance to catch up on it until now--

Apparently some addle-brained Missouri lawmaker wants open season on Jayhawks by introducing a bill in the Mizery Legislature to make the Kansas Jayhawk the official game bird of that state, declaring it the official avian to be hunted. I was amazed that anyone could be so cluelessly stupid as to pull a stunt like that, but then I realized the lawmaker in question is a Mizzou graduate, twice over. Geez, can't they work on fixing their state and educational system rather than being a bunch of mini-Quantrills?

Silly Tigers! Basketball wins are for Jayhawks!

And here I was thinking of you when I was looking at Mizzou/KC memorabilia while on my trip to Missouri...

Yeah, yeah yeah.. though at least we know that 5th downs are for buffalos.

Ah yes, I remember the infamous "5th down" decision back in 1990 that Colorado got away with-- I was still a student at Kansas at the time when that happened. We made fun of both sides for years, but more Mizzou than CU for failing to review the play (back when Bob Stull was coach).

You were thinking of me when looking at Mizzou stuff? Hopefully a little more at the KU stuff, I would think ;)
Have you gone back to the Old Country lately to see how things are? I haven't been back to Lawrence in a few years now... all my friends there have either graduated, moved on, or both!

Things get more city like each day... Columbia has grown a lot, larger streets, more businesses... more crazyness with golf courses and trying to encroach on my parent's land... Though I don't recall any good eateries there other than a few medium level ones, nothing as good as out here.

Though Cracker barrel is always good...

KC I didn't get to go see this time, might end up flying into there and checking a few sights out next time.

Just got back a few hours ago, and will post more about it soon (I have a few entries written already)... but I can definitely say, it was an epic journey.

Hope WonderCon was fun... and that the Furry Superheroes were well represented.
